Anxiety and Depression
The two worst best friends
Anxiety and depression often increase feelings of isolation. The brain can interpret emotional isolation as a form of threat. The brain continues signaling “something is wrong”. Your body can shift into a mild fight-or-flight state, producing cortisol (the main stress hormone). Our counseling will explore your emotional responses and you will learn strategies to decrease intense emotions.

"Yet those who wait for the LORD
Will gain new strength;
They will mount up with wings like eagles,
They will run and not get tired,
They will walk and not become weary." Isaiah 40: 31
